Yes

You can color it with a mixture of cabo-sil and wood flour, but it will still show.

If the directions don't advise this, it's a good idea to put packing tape on either side of this joint to prevent the glue from oozing farther than it should.

Good luck with that bright finish. Many of us avoid them because of the extra care in construction required to get a pretty hull. But it is worth the effort.
