Ah, perfection. Why bother? Honestly, it probably won't affect performance much, and even if it does, it'll be something that makes the boat unique, but not unusable.
Personally I wouldn't spend the time trying to repair something that isn't really broken. Call it character and move on. The sooner you finish, the sooner you paddle.
