Midwest Meet at the Beach

Hello Everyone,

The second annual " Midwest Meet at the Beach" will be held this year on June 4 weekend. The location will be the same which is "Holland State Park" in Holland,Michigan. It will be right across the road from the campground at the campers beach. It is on Lake Macatawa which also opens onto Lake Michigan. You can camp right there at the state park and make a weekend of it. Last year saw about 25 different kayaks and 30 people or so. This year should be a lot of fun also! This is open to anyone with interest in building kayaks whether strippers,stitch-n-glue,skin on frame. This will be good chance to meet nice folks, trade building ideas, paddle a design you're thinking of building. It would be fun to get some roll practice in too. It would sure be cool to see more S-O-F boats this year. Matt Johnson had his there last year,surely there must be a few more in the area.
