While I have gone on about heavy ends and overkill bow and stern strength, I use just enough in the ends to bore .5" eyes right through my bow and stern. (Doing this on a CLC might take a bit of tapering of the sheer clamp up into the ends). You can make mylar dams that allow you to be very exacting before you lay down the deck. But, I mix in very lightweight filler to keep this resin "rock" as light as possible. Another great application for (superlight) 410 filler and a smidgin' of structural fibers such as wood flour or cotton flour.
