Question about glass tape

I'm getting ready to complete the fillets on the inside of a CH16, and apply the fiberglass tape over the top of them. The directions tell you to make the tape go "from the bulkhead to the bow." How far up the keel fillet do I go into the bow; i.e. do I go all the way up into the really narrow area? It seems like it will be a very tight fit with a lot of tape overlapping and trying to fit tight curves...looks like it's gonna be a bear.

Or do I put a really big fillet into the bow, so that the curve is greatly reduced before I throw the tape on top of it??
