Auto clear coat

I was talking to my dad about this very topic this weekend. He said that his shop could clear coat my boat, I just needed to pay the painter some beer. He said in two hours the boat would be ready for the lake. He was telling me that they have used auto clear coat for tables and other furniture. The only problem was if the wood was not sealed before it was clear coated and put in the oven the finish would bubble. I intend to send a test piece coated in Epoxy to be coated then put in the oven. It will be a few more months before I reach that point but I will keep you all posted.
