Thanks for all of the suggestions. I still have some time (about a month) before I make the trek out to the pacific northwest so I'll be sure to explore the options that you all mentioned. I'll also be doing a cost/benefit analysis regarding shipping costs versus increased gas costs due to wind resistance. I'm still interested in any suggestions that you might have but should probably focus my energy on the boats right now!
