Sorry 'bout that empty post; ... I used the CLC system; worked great (same boat). You will sandwich the base in epoxy saturated fiberglass, which will of course pass through those mounting holes. That base and stud isn't going anywhere....

Very substantial mount for your footbraces. I don't know what the 'failure weight' would be to tear one of those studs loose, but you won't do it by paddling.
