Most plywood dealers would have them as they are also used to edge veener panel doors as in kitchens etc. They usually come in 20mm by 2400 lengths or you can but a larger roll. While there is a slight raise it is not very noticeable as by the time your epoxy is feathered in it nearly disappears, something like the veener "on-lays" used to form a feature design.When doing my un-scientific test my main concern was the strips lifting from being exposed to constant summer heat, but it never happened.
