(Sorry.) The North Bay is a tender boat to begin with, and was supposed to be. With a top-heavy overload of two adults it would simply fall over as soon as you pushed off from shore. I'd suggest making a trimaran, but I don't think the North Bay has the payload capacity, even if two people could cram their legs into the hull in cockpits that would be closer to the skinny ends of that boat.

As they get shorter, doubles need to get wider very quickly. The Mill Creek 16.5 is 33", for example.
