George,
All coats of Epifanes require thinning with their brushing/rolling thinner. (The stuff is real goopy straight-up). I do first coat at 25% as per the can - real runny but keeps a good wet edge. Subsequent coats 15% then 10%.
Stir well. Initially the varnish and thinner don't seem to want to blend - but they do.
Sun curing if possible, when you're all done will toughen up the finish. Then you can go out and bash it all up! YEEEHAWWW!
