Yeah, for the tools lacquer thinner is very effective.
Another choice, if you are working in a confined area, is denatured alcohol. That is my preference.
A quick course: of the commonly used household solvents, lacquer thinner fumes are pretty high up the scale in acute and long term toxicity.
Denatured alcohol, on the other hand, is cheap vodka, loosely speaking (ethanol). They put enough methanol (wood alcohol) to make everyone puke if you serve it as a party. Otherwise the danged revenooers would make you pay liquor tax on it.
BTW, I guess my note implied to use goop for tools, but that was just my not proofreading my note before sending. I meant just for skin.
