Well, the angle planed into the sheerclamp has started "rolling" from the forward deck radius (24") to the aft deck radius (30"). This is a million times easier to do than it is to explain in text. It's helpful to have a bit of scrap plywood that you can bend across the whole width of the boat in the cockpit area to understand how the planing works.
