thanks alot!!! I spent of Sunday slowly and carefully removing most of the mess. The boat really looks nice now but has a lot of very small low spots. I picked up some lacquer thinner on the way home tonight. a bit more had sanding in the sensitive areas and I will clean off as you sugested, let dry good and roll on another thin coat. I have my fingers crossed, and will never use a tack cloth again.
