Tiller? Hmmm

Craig, thanks for the alternative idea. But without a picture it's difficult for me to know what you mean. Why, I'd be thoroughly lost except that I saw some tillers at last year's Texas Kayak Builders' Bash. But now I'm wondering how they work. Seems like it'd be next to impossible to make fine changes in steering.

I may not install the forward bulkhead until I've returned from this year's Bash, so I can see everything again, try it, and see what I want to do.

As for the rudder floating on me, I'll have a hold-down bungee to take care of that. I guess. I mean, what do I know about rudders?
