DIY Rudder

Howdy Gang!

Among the free boats I have been showered with lately is a Pygmy Osprey HP, which is tantamount, as far as I can see, to a WR180. It's a high volume, 17'-6" x 22", S&G sea yak sporting a multi-chined hull... which rather adamantly refuses to turn without the assistance of several harbor tugs.

So, for the first time, I want a rudder. But as usual, I cannot afford to buy, and must make my toys at home or simply do without.
