sanding & scraping
Posted by RAY on Feb 24, 2005
Hi
Got my a new scraper in the post this morning. Got home from work and started scraping off excess epoxy from the hull. These scrapers are well worth their money - saved loads of sanding time.
I have not touched the bow and the stern keel sections. When applying the matting I added an additional 8oz lay up along these edges. I applied this glass between epoxy coats. This has resulted in this glass standing slightly proud of the main hull. How do i make sure this irregularity is invisible after painting. Is it OK not to sand these edges for now, add a few more coats of epoxy and then sand. Is this enough to remove this problem.
