Are you building from a pre-cut kit or plans?

Once the rear bulkhead and the forward cockpit deck beam are actually installed, the shears continue to bow. That, along with the curve created by the bottom pannels, results in a beam measurement at center cockpit which is considerably greater than the widest part of the bulkhead or the deck beam. Even so, a beam measurement that is slightly less than spec is nothing to be concerned about (you just built the racing model). Primary stability will be unchanged and secondary only very slightly.

What is more important is symmetry - that both sides wind up with the same shape with no twist or "winding".
