buying a used clc 14

I would like to purchase an already built CLC 14 for my children. There is one "lightly used" for sale 4 hours a way. I have not built a boat. What questions should I ask the builder/current owner? What pictures should I ask for? General pictures look good, and he "followed all recommended instructions". What else can I do to make sure my 8 hours round trip is productive.

Any help would be appreciated.
