I prefers screws (as in the video) 10:1 over anything. Tighten the screws until you observe that the faces of the scarfs just have contact, and you're golden. I really slobber the goo onto the scarfs---just to be safe----then carefully clean up the squeeze-out before it cures.
Weights are still a useful alternative if your panels are set up, say, on a concrete floor, but it's harder to control the clamping pressure.
