Re: wood fillers

I make my own wood flour for special repair jobs. It's rather time consuming grinding wood with a drum sander but it's possible to make epoxy putty in a wide variety of wood shades. To see how much a particular wood flour will darken wet a small sample. I needed a very dark glue to repair the rosewood handle on an old Stanley plane. Redwood dust matched so well that the break is hardly noticable. Charlie
