Greg, OK how about a hatch or hinged seat that will lock down, fill the area with preformed foam blocks that can be removed. You could have captive floatation, ventilation and the ability to inspect or repair inside the seat as needed. Terry's bottles would work or the swim "noodles" cut to size. Remove them when not on the water to air out. RogerJ
