Lee makes an excellent point. I've used foam in other boats and the best time to put it in is before the tank is sealed. If you have sealed it, you need to make sure that the tank has enough openings to allow the foam to expand without putting undue pressure on the wood, even if means cutting temporary openings and patching them after the foaming is done. A 2-part closed cell structural foam (the only kind you should use on a boat) WILL split the tank wide open if improperly applied.
