When filling the gaps on the outside, run a strip of blue painters tape along the edge of the gap prior to filling. That way you dont have to be so neat, and no problem with the epoxy/wood flour goo getting outside the gap and staining the panels. Remove the tape after the goo sets up somewhat, but before it hardens.

Plastic knives work good for applying the mix in those gaps. And work with small batches of goo, (one pump of each is plenty) since the gaps don't take much to fill, and it will probably start kicking off in the cup before you use it all.
