Yes, Lee, that is surprising. If you could share your data, it might be very handy reference material for some of us to have. I have often thought of doing the kinds of tests you've done, once my first boat or two is finished.

Just what you've said has already shifted my intuitive feel for where an s and g boat gets its ultimate strength from. The joint strength is a little less important, and wall strength a little more important than in my previous thoughts.
