The material sounds similar to fuzzy rubber by Malden Mills. Waterproof/stretchy outside with thin pile inside? I've seen a very stretchy thin spraskirt that looked like the stuff on some paddle shirsts,,1mm neoprene with lots of lycra on both sides. The edge of the coaming should be rounded,,is that what you are saying?
