Greg, sounds like you've got it well under control. I would hesitate a little bit at putting the rear bulkhead 2" back, though. In my case, I often sit on the rear of the cockpit opening getting in and out of my boat, the rear bulkhead being pretty much right under the rear of the cockpit coaming provides a lot of needed support.
