The best rear bulkhead location is right at the rear of the cockpit cut out. That allows a quick full dump of water out of the cockpit. Real handy for a t-recovery or solo draining. That is why I test locate my seat and then install the rear bulkhead and rolling recess then cut the final cockpit hole. But the rolling recess is a whole story by itself. I'm sure you have seen it before. Here it is again.
