Gary, the deck beam in question is just filleted in place. Find the method that suits you for holding it in place and fillet it in place. Take some time to check the fit, mine set about 3/4" too low and the reliefs for the sheer clamps were adjusted to bring the beam up to the proper level. Use a string attached to both bulkheads to check the height. That beam is what gives the deck support at the rear of the front coaming so fit is important.
