Chalk Hill and accompanying cypress swamp is a favorite spot for paddling on the lower Eastern Shore. For those who might wish to make a party of it, and don't have enough kayaks, or don't have one, yet, there is a rental outfit at the bridge that will not only rent boats, but take you to the desired spot to put in or take out. Of course, they have all sorts of information and maps at their headquarters.

Blackwater was a good suggestion.

To hangliding people....be careful, my orthopedic surgeon friends tell me there is a nasty tendency to accordion your spine because if you hit more or less headfirst, the shock comes longitudenly.
