Stitch in Time

Posted by Lloyd on Dec 3, 2004

This is a photograph of the stitch we got to.

Craig found that if he grabbed the wire at the two ends and twisted as he pulled steadily he ended up with these nicely formed stitches.

We really fussed with aligning adjacent panels in boats two and three, and not tightning until everything looked fair, and when we firmed up the stitches the boats hardly needed any twisting.

I was a little hasty on the first boat and there is a little twist in the stern (photograph to follow in a later message). This little twist worried us for a couple of days.
