I was shaping another pair of hanging knees for my canoe when I detected motion on the ground. As I turned we both saw eath other and both stopped. To my amazement and surprize a young Kestrel walked into my garage. His right wing was hanging low and appeared coated with ...something. The kind folks at the Lindsey Wildlife Musuem and Hospital said it probably not blood, rather some sticky substance the bird had gotten into. The young adult male Kestrel was just beautifull. I better understand why we mortals name our gracefull craft after birds. RogerJ
