Building from Plans...
Posted by jahrome on Nov 18, 2004
I found local sources for Okoume plywood, and MAS epoxies and already acquired them...so my next boat will be built via plans.
Has anyone had such luck with fiberglass, bronze nails/screws, and what about the sheer clamps. What are most of you fellow plan builders using? Can't seem to find anything useful at the home building warehouses. Well I did find some long poplar or cedar pieces I could use for the sheer clamps but I'd have to rip them to size. I guess they can do it or I could get a table saw >8-)
Well part of the fun of this boat is to see how much stuff I can scavenge.
