Re: bulkhead too short

I had this same problem in building my MillCreek 16.5. The forward bulkhead was 1/4" lower than the shear clamps, and hence the deck once I installed it. I never thought to build it up beforehand.
So I made it difficult for myself, but I ended up cutting a 1/4" piece of a radius to match that gap. Held it in place with some tape and epoxied it in place. Then removed the tape and did the other side. I used some oak plywood I had lying around, but you can't even tell now because the thickened epoxy hid it, and....its well under the deck. At least the forward compartment is now watertight.
