LeeG is being rhetorical since he has talked in threads about his legitimate safety concern for pointy bows.
Look at the Pax designs to get the solution. Take a hacksaw (or a fancy Japanese razor saw) and cut off an inch or two of the pointy bow. Find a nice piece of decorative trim and epoxy a small piece onto the neutered bow. Round to a smooth ball shape and seal with another coat or two of clear epoxy. Problem solved.
Not only good for surfing conditions where control and speed are big factors but also piece of mind when launching from a swimming beach with lots of inquisitive kids.
