1 CH17 is 46, the other is 48 - different seats, no rudders or skegs. Both have full deck rigging including perimeter lines. The common perception from folks with non-wood boats seems to be that wood boats are heavier, and they're often surprised at how light they can be - especially if you're careful to put on thin coats of epoxy.
Speaking of perimeter lines, I've found them really useful when I'm practicing exits - gives you something to hold on to when you're in the water, esp. if the wind is blowing. It's interesting that a lot of the boats pictured here on the forum don't have them. Are you adding them in later?
