Strip Built - Better ?

I too am casting around for my next project, which will either be a multi-chine S&G or a strip built.

Mac .. Recently I did see something on Schade's website where someone claimed that strip built takes about three times as much time.

My question is, "Is there a performance improvement with strip built?"

I don't care about looks. I painted my LT17 to look like a Gateway box(The wife insisted on a bright finish for hers and she may not kayak with me).
