That's a very good tip! You know I never understood about this "epoxy gets so hot" etc because I always mixed small batches until the fiberglass stage. It would sit there a while and I would wonder what the fuss was about...Then I mixed a huge batch like they show in the video. OK now I get it. It gets hot! I probably mixed about 25% more than I should have but most of it spread out until the end... it was disappointing to mess up on a few feet of the hull on an otherwise good first attempt at glassing. I didn't panic but it was a tense for a few minutes!
I imagine lots of fossilized bugs in the paint if I do it outdoors. ;-) Thanks for the warning about the paint smell. Same thing with the varnish?
