Lloyd,

For what it's worth I paddled the WR18 confortably and I wear a size 12. Granted, I was wearing "water socks" and sandals the two times I paddled the beast, but I think it should only take minor adjustment of the deck radius to accomodate you.

If you absolutely have to do the bubble, there isn't anything wrong with it except the "edges" prtruding above the deck. If you have a boat with "standard" hatches you already have something above the deck so it shouldn't matter.

There may be some wind issues, but I don't imagine that small an area will create anything of real concern.
