I don't know how you spread your epoxy. I use a squeegee. If the squeegee has sharp corners or a burr on it, it can snag a thread and pull it. Been there done that. If you catch it when it is wet some times you can pull it tight. Now that it is hard, just put on your fill coats then sand it smooth. Your boat will never know one thread is compromised. It won't show even if left bright. But you can always check it with the "spit test", I use a wet towel wipe.
