I assume you mean 4 thin fill coats. If so, there oughn't be any bare cloth still stickin' out anywhere. I say: sand the area lightly with 150-grit sandpaper and see what's goin' on there, and add more epoxy only if required. Remember, sanding into the cloth here or there constitutes nothing resembling a disaster, especially on the deck (critical areas that need patching are usually anywhere there's a corner).
I'd certainly rather have a few small areas of breached cloth, than weighty excess schmoo I do not want to carry around.
The number one first-time builders' regret is too much epoxy, y' know...
