"Cradles damaged"??? "Mounting brackets bent"??? Sounds like there was considerable force involved.

Did you have bow and stern lines in place? There has been an ongoing discussion on this forum concerning the need for them and your expereince will shed some light on the subject.

Glad to hear that you will live to build and fish again.
