Yeah, MIchelle, I've considered building one of those for a personal, after-work, short paddle on protected rivers/lakes type of boat. I decided they were so light that they had the potential to become kites if left unattended in any kind of wind.
Also, you gotta build a steam box to bend the frames. Not that hard to build, and steam bending is kinda fun. But the thing looks a bit like a moonshine still and your neighbors might turn you into the revenuers.
