These look like Skin On Frame. While probably easy to build, and really light, I'm glad I'm ridin' ply whenever I hit a deadhead in the middle of the lake.
'Sides, these would only give you the skills to build an ultralight glider, while an epoxied Sassafrass equips you to repair the world. (I have used up every ounce of left over epoxy and square inch of fiberglass cloth repairing everything from eyeglass frames to busted paddleboat fins and wobbly interlocking concrete steps.)
And I'll bet THEY don't have a cool site like this one!
