The problem with the webbing print is common for new paint as well as varnish. It takes several weeks for these finishes to achieve maximum hardness. What I like to do with new boats prior to launching is leave them out in the direct sun for a week our so, flipping them over each day or so. I also put old sheets on the webbing of the saw horses.
The print-thru can be rubbed out with auto buffing compound or a boat polish.
