deck nails
Posted by Peter on Sep 14, 2004
Have been finish sanding my deck and white spots appeared over some deck nails. They were dry and easy to remove with an ice pick and a dremmel tool. I am wondering if the cause is from contamination on the nail heads. I had just slightly countersunk them, consequently some of them didn't get roughed up prior to glassing the hull.I think it might be a better idea not to countersink and just sand them down while sanding the deck. Anyway, before I re epoxie the holes I've made cleaning this up I'd like to tarnish the nail heads where I have shined them up. Any quick way of doing this?
Thanks, Peter
