Shaun,
I'm building a Ches 18 that I've trimmed 1" off of the shear panels. Have all of teh panels scarfed up and the shear clamps on. Also building a Pygmy Golden Eye at the same time. Had to put the projects on hold for the last two weeks due to the fact the workshop is full of all of our pool and patio furniture in anticipation of visitors from the south, Frances and Ivan. Looks like we dodged the bullet here in Tampa from Ivan so we should be back to normal by the weekend.
Boy, the 18 is a "big un"!
