that makes sense,,stress cracks isn't the term I'd use for something that's hit and damaged as occured for Andy. For example on the aft deck of the Pax18 that has glassed 3mm okoume there can be stress cracks from the flexing that can occur when taking off/putting on the vcp hatch. Or the interior of the unglassed bottom panels on four panel kayaks where the span between the keel and chine is large enough that flexing can occure in regular use there can develop waterstaining stress cracks.
