I gave up using rollers and brushes for applying unthickened epoxy (except in tight corners where I dab with a foam brush). I use only flexible plastic squeeges of various widths. This gives a thin coat with no bubbles, few sags and no unnecessary weight. Because the coats are thin, it may take an extra coat to fill glass weave, but the extra control is worth it.
