I could imagine that if a lot of repeat customers were set on purchasing only during the sale it would make production vary significantly as they would hold off a purchase for 10-11 months yielding high/low production cycles. Which might be less of a problem with 15 models than 25models where the new models require their own development time and production/manual trouble shooting,,let alone customer feedback. Or a workforce that could overlap job descriptions, ie.prototyping with testing with production with sales with design with marketing, etc. But if you're running an efficient operation that kind of job description overlap is very inefficient for producing X widgets in Y time.
